We are expecting!!!

Jonny and I are super excited to have a baby join our family in October. I am six weeks along and feeling it. This weekend I felt morning/evening sickness but did not "toss my cookies" thank goodness! We have shared our news with family, relatives, coworkers, close friends and facebook friends. I have yet to share the excitement with my Kindergarten class. However I may need to share prepare them if my nausea gets much worse and more distracting. I am planning on telling them before my eight weeks appointment next week because I will be gone in the morning and then come back after lunch. Anyway, we hope to begin our crew of children with a boy because I always wished I had a big brother. But we will love either a boy or a girl. We will keep you posted as we find out more. This is such a wonderful time in our lives and we are so happy to share our joy with you all!

Christmas in SA, TX 2010

So it has been awhile! : ) Our last trip was to my parents for Christmas. We enjoyed the warmer weather and sunshine. This Christmas was the first time in quite a few years that our whole family was together and this year there were more than the eight our family started out with. Jonny, Jessica, and Austin & Bentley were all new additions to the family this past year. We also had a wonderful time getting to know Margot, Chris' girlfriend. Lots of fun times were spent playing Wii and Ticket to Ride. As tradition, that we have not done for quite some time, we made gingerbread houses. Jonny and I made Rapunzel's tower because I loved the movie Tangled so much! The nativity with Kelsie as the virgin Mary and one of the twins as the baby Jesus was still my favorite part. Chris wanted to take Margot to the Riverwalk and Alamo so a group of us went downtown and the others went to see Tron. We even went to the Tower of the Americas taking advantage of the free Happy Hour ride to the top. Now don't be fooled by the tourist attraction you can just ride up to the bar and see what you would see up on the observation floor or if you ate at the restaraunt, without the cost of either. They do offer appatizers but my mom and I did not get any so we could have room for dinner at Cafe Ole. We met up at this restaraunt on the Riverwalk and got seated outside. The mariachi band asked if they could sing to us as we were leaving but that's okay because I am no longer single boys! ; ) They sang to us a few years ago when we took Adam downtown for the first time and my family teases me that the guy was singing to me and that he must have been my boyfriend or wanted to be. Ha ha!
